Alter Ego Problem

Eric's Poem

Eric's Poem

2 people in

one body

and you’re

different

Yeah it’s true

But what if

your ego liked

what you didn’t like

And you liked what

your ego didn’t like

What would you do?

Deceiving

Eric's Poem

Eric's Poem

I spit the

words of deception

and you will understand

what type of world

we are in

It starts in the

store. Money burning

a hole in your pocket

Ask for what you want

see the price think that

it’s allright

When you hear the

price you are in fright

Surrender your Washingtons

Get back Lincolns

or sometimes nothing

Disagreements erupt

like volcanoes

Cashier finally

retreats

Give right amount

of cash

leave the

store

in storms of

anger.

When you

see something

glowing and

blinking blue

you know

that’s my

spaceship.

Eric's Story

Eric's Story

Big Mac was grinning from ear to ear when he saw a crowd around Harry. “Let’s see who’s smart, now!” he said. Harry was getting terrified as the crowd moved in on him. Big Mac made his way through. Matter of fact, everyone made a way for him. Everybody respected him. Girls wanted to go out with him. Now he and Harry were face to face.

“Let the games begin,” said Big Mac. “Let’s play pass-it.” Pass-it was a game where you had to hit the person next to you. Then you would have to say “pass it.” When the hit came to the second-to-last person, that person would have the option to hit the last person with a hit of his choice. Harry knew he would be the last person and Big Mac would be second-to-last.

Harry watched with despair as the game began. Everyone seemed to be hitting the person next to them very softly. Then the big moment came. The person hit Big Mac so softly. Big Mac cracked his knuckles…

As Big Mac started winding up for his punch, Harry thought of ways to dodge. When he saw a fist, he ducked and punched Big Mac in the stomach. Big Mac tumbled to the floor with a thud. Harry looked at the kids, and they began to respect him. All the girls asked Harry for his phone number. The boys wanted to be his friend. For many days, Harry had dreamed for this day to come.

The next day at school, Harry found girls at his locker, asking him to go out with them. Then he saw the one girl he wanted to date: Alicia. He said, “Alicia, do you want to go out with me?” And Alicia was delighted.

By now, everybody knew that Harry had the biggest crush on the most popular girl in school, and now, with Big Mac out of the way, one of his dreams had come true. In the classroom, it was even better. In science, pretty girls wanted to be his lab partner. In math, Ms. Wayne was surprised to see how Big Mac respected Harry. She said, “Looks like you are having better days, Harry.”

“I know,” said Harry. For weeks on end, it seemed like Harry was having the best day of his life.

Eric's Story

Eric's Story

Harry was living the popular life at school. He had the most popular girl for a girlfriend, and he now had a bit of friends. And of course, pretty girls mobbed him just about every day. This was the hardest thing to believe. Big Mac respected him and wanted to be his friend. He said, “I’m sorry about bullying you. Can’t we be friends?”

“Okay,” said Harry. The two slapped hands.

Harry knew that even though he was popular, he must focus on the classroom. And that’s what he did. His teachers were proud of how Harry conducted himself throughout this popularity. Meanwhile, Big Mac was happy for Harry. But now he wanted to be popular again.

So with the friends he had, he took everything from Harry.  How? By releasing a rumor, a lie that said Harry was gay and liked boys. Pretty soon, this took his friends, the mob of girls, and his girlfriend. According to Big Mac’s plan, everything was going the way it should…

But what will Harry do? Find out in Harry the Smart Guy, Part V!
